AGE REQUIREMENTS
10 & Under - Must be born on or after September 1, 2013
12 & Under – Must be born on or after September 1, 2011
14 & Under – Must be born on or after September 1, 2009
15 & Under – Must be born on or after September 1, 2008
16 & Under – Must be born on or after September 1, 2007
18 & Under – Must be born on or after September 1, 2005
OR players who were born on or after September 1, 2004 AND be a high school student
(12th grade or below) during some part of the current academic year. 
 
**Once a player participates in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college or junior college, he or she is no longer eligible for the AAU Junior Nationals

*Please note, all athletes will play in all days of competition for their division listed below. Everyone will make it to the final day of competition
*Current AAU membership is required to participate
*Each athlete may only participate in one division. This includes playing with different partners in different divisions, no exceptions.

July 13-15: Girls 18:U, 16:U

BEFORE YOU REGISTER, PLEASE NOTE OUR REFUND POLICY
Please note, there is a $25 non- refundable registration fee.
 
Full refunds (minus $25) will be given up until May 1
50% refunds (minus $25) will be given up until June 1
No refunds will be given after June 1.

 

We understand injuries happen, but there are no exceptions to the refund policy.
Partner replacements are allowed up until 24 hours prior to the event.

COURT ASSIGNMENTS/ POOLS/ BRACKETS
Will be updated on this site prior to the first day of competition, and all updates will be on this site including playoff brackets and will have live updates.

FORMATS
3-Day Format:
           Day 1: Pool Play (1 round)
           Day 2: Pool Play (2 rounds)
           * A total of 3 rounds of pool play will occur in two days.
Day 3: All teams advance to Day 3: Single Elimination Playoffs.
 
    2-Day Format:
           Day 1: Two (2) rounds of pool play
           Day 2: All teams advance to Day 2: Single Elimination Playoffs
 
1-Day Format:
           Day 1: Pool Play followed by single elimination playoffs
 
* The final day of competition is single elimination bracket play. Teams may be done as early 12:00 pm or as late as 5:00 PM depending on which bracket they advance to.
 
Seeding
How is this event seeded?
We seed all our AAU events based on results from previous AAU events only. We do not take into consideration any other organizations when seeding events. Southern Pacific teams will be seeded based on points given throughout the year from this site. Other districts will also be seeded within their districts and seeded accordingly into the event.

FAQ's

Q: Can I enter into two divisions with different partners if they do not overlap?
A: No, athletes may only enter 1 division. This includes playing in different divisions with different partners.
 
Q: Why can't I play in more than one division if they don't overlap?
A: This event sells out and we want to make sure all teams have an opportunity to play.
 
Q: Do all teams advance to playoffs?
A: All teams will advance to the final day of competition for their division, but not all teams will make the Gold Bracket.
 
Q: Do I have to be an AAU Member to play?
A: Yes, All athletes must be current AAU members. AAU membership is $14.00 per athlete. The cost of membership is in addition to the entry fee. You can purchase a membership at aausports.org
 
Q: Can I get a refund if we can't play anymore?
A: All entry fees are non-refundable, unless you have registered for the waitlist. All waitlist teams will be refunded in full if they do not make it into the tournament.
 
Q: I missed the deadline, can I still register/is there still room?
A: When a divisions is full, or after the deadline, you can register online for the waitlist. Teams will be taken/entered into the tournament in the order they are registered on the waitlist. There is no guarantee that waitlist teams will be entered into the tournament.
 
Q: My division is full, will you take more teams?
A: When a divisions is full, or after the deadline, you can register online for the waitlist. Teams will be taken/entered into the tournament in the order they are registered on the waitlist. There is no guarantee that waitlist teams will be entered into the tournament.
 
Q: What rules do you use?
A: AAU Volleyball is conducted under the AAU Code, AAU Volleyball Handbook and the current playing rules of USA Volleyball, as modified by the AAU National Executive Committee. For the current USA Volleyball Domestic Competition Regulations, visit www.usavolleyball.org. The following section contains the rules for the National Championship. Rules may be modified by the District Sports Director or event operator for other sanctioned events. 
 
Q: What happens if my teammate gets injured during the tournament, can I get another partner and finish the event?
A: No, once an athlete begins the event, no substitutions are allowed. If one player gets injured and can no longer play, the team must forfeit from the event.
 
Q: How many teams get medals?                
A: Medals will be awarded to the top four (4) teams, Top one (1) team in consolation brackets will receive a medal.
 
Q: Where do I check in?                 
A: Check in will be online. A link for teams to check-in online will be emailed after July 2. There is no need to physically check-in at the tent, but teams can pick up goodie bags at the specified times listed above.
