Los Angeles, CA  The AAU Beach Volleyball Tour is proud to announce an alliance with the National Volleyball League as the official junior beach volleyball program of the professional beach volleyball tour. The AAU Beach Volleyball Tour is a program of the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States, Inc. and is the largest and most comprehensive junior beach volleyball program in the United States for over 20 years.

The AAU Beach Volleyball program consists of a series of local circuits, tournaments and leagues which lead to national premiere events such as: The 20th AAU Junior National Volleyball Beach Volleyball Championships, the AAU Junior Olympic Games and the annual AAU Best of the Beach event.  The National Volleyball League is one of the premier professional beach volleyball tours in the United States with events from coast to coast featuring the top professional beach volleyball athletes in the country.

The alliance will recognize each organizations beach volleyball program and will contain cross-promotional opportunities, clinics and camps, and presence at major events on both tours.

“We are proud to enter an alliance with the NVL and look forward to working together towards a great season of beach volleyball,” said Gino Grajeda, Commissioner of the AAU Beach Volleyball Program. “I am positive that AAU participants will benefit from the exposure of the professional tour and the proposed instructional programs”

National Volleyball League founder Albert Hannemann stated, “We are very excited to be partnering with the largest junior beach volleyball program in the US. Our mutual goals to grow the sport through utilizing our PlayFit Foundation clinics will allow us to give these young athletes high level coaching from NVL Pros while they compete in AAU junior beach events. The NVL professional tour is a platform that will inspire these athletes to become the next generation of Olympic stars.”

The National Volleyball League, founded in 2010 by 18-year professional beach volleyball veteran Albert Hannemann, is based in Hermosa Beach, CA and was designed to fully support the needs of the players, fans and sponsors. The NVL has quickly become the premiere beach volleyball lifestyle event operator with a series of professional, pro-am and open tournaments nationwide featuring some of the best professional beach volleyball athletes in the country.

The Amateur Athletic Union of the United States was founded in 1888 and is based in Lake Buena Vista, FL at Walt Disney World, which also includes an alliance with the Walt Disney Company. The AAU is one of the largest amateur sports organizations and was the leader in the Olympic movement and represented the United States in many international federations prior to the Amateur Sports Act. The AAU is a member organization of the United States Olympic Committee and sanctioned its first beach volleyball competition in 1957 in Manhattan Beach, CA.
