The 23rd AAU Girls’ Junior National Beach Volleyball Championship took place July 6-9, 2016 in Hermosa Beach, California.
The girls’ championships have become one of the largest beach volleyball events in the country with more than 300 pairs coming from across the nation converging on Hermosa Beach, CA to compete.
Teams hailed from 25 states, as well as Puerto Rico, Canada and Australia.

The 2016 West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games Beach Volleyball Championships took place July 20-23, 2016 in Hermosa Beach, California.
The Beach Championships, which are a part of the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games, have become the preeminent beach volleyball event in the country with more than 300 pairs coming from 30 states converging on Hermosa Beach, CA to compete. Pairs have to qualify throughout the year in order to compete in this event. This makes the competition level of this tournament on the best in the nation.
